Commercial Real Estate Appraisal Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Conduct technical assessments of commercial appraisal reports generated by reporting appraisers across various property types.

• Analyze analyses, opinions, and conclusions for logical coherence, methodological integrity, and supportability.

• Ensure that appraisal reports adhere to USPAP standards, client specifications, and firm reporting criteria.

• Review market analysis, highest and best use determinations, valuation methods, and reconciliations.

• Provide constructive and clear review feedback that enhances both report quality and analytical support.

• Monitor recurring review comments and pinpoint opportunities for enhancements in report formats and templates.

• Support firmwide initiatives related to USPAP, Appraisal Institute, Yellow Book, and client compliance standards.

• Assist in the upkeep of internal review scoring and feedback systems utilized in appraiser performance evaluations.

• Aggregate feedback from external client reviews and suggest reporting enhancements.

• Collaborate with leadership and technology teams to streamline review efficiency and reporting procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional communication, writing, and organizational abilities.

• Outstanding attention to detail and precision in analysis.

• Capability to assess complex valuation analyses and recognize logical discrepancies.

• Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license is mandatory.

• MAI designation is preferred.

• Over 5 years of experience in commercial real estate appraisal review.

• Proficient in reviewing Argus files.

• Extensive knowledge of USPAP standards and institutional appraisal reporting requirements.
