Commercial Real Estate Appraisal Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct technical evaluations of commercial appraisal reports produced by reporting appraisers across various property types.

• Assess analyses, opinions, and conclusions for logical coherence, methodological integrity, and substantiation.

• Ensure that appraisal reports adhere to USPAP standards, client requirements, and the firm's reporting protocols.

• Review market analysis, highest and best use determinations, valuation techniques, and reconciliation processes.

• Deliver clear and constructive feedback that enhances both report quality and analytical support.

• Monitor recurring review feedback and identify potential improvements for report formats and templates.

• Contribute to organization-wide initiatives concerning USPAP, Appraisal Institute, Yellow Book, and client compliance standards.

• Aid in maintaining internal review scoring and feedback systems utilized in appraiser performance evaluations.

• Aggregate feedback from external client reviews and suggest enhancements for reporting.

• Collaborate with leadership and technology teams to enhance review efficiency and reporting methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong communication, writing, and organizational abilities.

• Outstanding attention to detail and precision in analysis.

• Capability to assess complex valuation analyses and pinpoint logical discrepancies.

• Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license is mandatory.

• MAI designation is preferred.

• Over 5 years of experience in commercial real estate appraisal review.

• Familiarity with reviewing Argus files.

• Extensive knowledge of USPAP standards and institutional appraisal reporting criteria.
