Commercial Quantity Surveyor – Fit-out & New Works

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Take-offs & BOQs: Measure digital drawings to create comprehensive "shopping lists" for a variety of elements, including glass partitions and custom finishes within high-spec commercial environments.

• Tendering: Oversee the procurement process by distributing BOQs to specialized subcontractors and conducting thorough price comparisons to secure the best value.

• Valuations: Perform regular site inspections to confirm work progress, ensuring that payments are authorized only for completed, high-quality tasks.

• Variations: Quickly assess the cost implications when clients or designers make changes to materials or layouts, maintaining an adaptable yet controlled budget.

• Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR): Generate monthly reports to monitor project profitability and proactively flag potential financial pitfalls.

• Final Accounts: Lead discussions on final invoices with contractors to guarantee a fair, transparent, and timely conclusion to projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• AU Experience (Non-Negotiable): A minimum of 2–4 years of experience specifically in the Australian construction sector, with a thorough understanding of local regulations, market rates, and subcontractor networks.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering office fit-outs, new constructions, and educational projects.

• Digital Toolkit:

• Take-offs: Advanced proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, CostX, or AI-enhanced tools such as Togal.AI.

• Project & Cost Management: Expert-level proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Project for effective scheduling and tracking.

• BIM & Estimating: Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, or digital tendering platforms (e.g., Causeway, ProEst).

• Data Mastery: Advanced Excel capabilities for complex data modeling and financial reporting.
