This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Assess, analyze, investigate, negotiate, and resolve quota share and individual insurer property claims.
• Confirm coverage in line with the relevant Commercial Property insurance policy.
• Collaborate with field adjusters and specialists for inspections or additional inquiries.
• Evaluate supporting documentation provided for claims and accurately document the review details within the file.
• Review damage estimates and repair costs, as well as verify the accuracy of vendor invoices.
• Detect potential issues such as fraud, duplicate claims, or policy exclusions.
• Maintain regular communication with policyholders, adjusters, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure ongoing claim progress and keep all parties informed.
• Draft written status updates and large loss reports for clients, including Reservation of Rights and Coverage Position Letters.
• Manage appeals or disputes related to claim decisions.
• Attend mediations and settlement conferences as required.
• Oversee and guide defense counsel to resolve litigated claims.
• Provide financial authority and strategic direction to counsel to safeguard the client's funds and claims.
• Present and clarify claim summaries to business partners on a monthly basis.
• Engage in audits and quality control assessments.
• Keep abreast of industry developments, policy modifications, and best practices.
• Results-driven professional with excellent organizational abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of Commercial Property Claims management.
• Capability to confirm coverage under the applicable Commercial Property insurance policy.
• Experience with both Excess & Surplus Lines (Lloyds) and Standard carrier programs.
• Proficiency in planning, organizing, and prioritizing responsibilities to meet critical deadlines.
• Skill in reviewing and interpreting both routine and complex policy contracts and coverage.
• Familiarity with current case law, statutory law, DOI regulations, etc., relevant to claims practices and issues in the operational territory.
• Competence in preparing comprehensive reports and recommendations for clients.
• Ability to analyze and investigate legal and claim trends.
• Possess strong analytical and negotiation abilities.
