Commercial Painting Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Generate precise quantity takeoffs and cost assessments for commercial painting initiatives.

• Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and bidding documents to produce comprehensive estimates.

• Estimate both interior and exterior painting scopes for extensive multifamily apartment complexes and other commercial ventures.

• Employ takeoff and estimating software such as Bluebeam, Revit, or comparable industry-standard tools.

• Address Requests for Information (RFIs) and Scope Change Items (SCIs) during the estimating process.

• Manage multiple active bids while adhering to deadlines and ensuring accuracy in estimates.

• Recognize potential risks, scope discrepancies, and necessary clarifications throughout the bid preparation process.

• Collaborate with internal teams to guarantee comprehensive and competitive proposals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of estimating experience in support of US commercial construction projects.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

• Experience in estimating projects involving 250–400+ unit apartment complexes.

• Proficiency with Bluebeam, Revit, and other construction estimating software.

• Demonstrated experience in estimating commercial painting projects, ideally for large multifamily developments.

• Strong capability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.

• Experience in conducting detailed quantity takeoffs using industry-standard estimating tools.

• In-depth knowledge of commercial painting techniques, materials, and production rates.

• Experience in supporting ongoing projects through RFIs, scope clarifications, and change management.

• Highly organized with the ability to independently manage multiple concurrent estimates.
