📋 Description

• Act as a vital member of the deal teams to assist in meeting business orders, sales, and margin objectives for the designated segment.

• Assess opportunities and create MYA indicative, budgetary, and firm proposals by spearheading the development and proposal processes, including customer negotiations.

• Offer commercial support throughout various stages of the commercial process, encompassing risk assessment/mitigation and terms and conditions.

• Capable of conducting inflation and escalation evaluations, executing financial analysis, scenario planning, and pricing strategy.

• Grasp and convey risk and corresponding mitigation strategies for opportunities to all stakeholders.

• Draft and negotiate contracts, particularly focusing on identifying solutions to bridge negotiation gaps with customers.

• Collaborate closely with (i) the MYA teams of internal Gas Power Business Lines (New Units, Global Services, Aero, Steam Power Services), (ii) internal customers within GE Vernova (GEV Hitachi, Hydro, Renewable), and (iii) external customers.

• Provide price tracking and trending analyses for the MYA products to facilitate market-driven decision-making during the Commercial Review Boards (CRB) and Deal Reviews.

• Present deals for delegation of authority approvals and ensure compliance with the ITO process, including the evaluation of terms and conditions and risk management assessments.

• Oversee the tender schedule, ensuring timely internal approvals, bid submissions, and readiness for order booking.

• Challenge existing tendering practices and suggest innovative methods of collaboration.

• Utilize Salesforce.com and CPQ to manage proposal risk profiles and pipeline forecasts.

• Assist in handover meetings with OTR to accurately represent the As-Sold pricing and scope of supply.

• Lead communications across all organizational levels, including steering deal reviews with senior and executive leadership.

• The CLS MYA Commercial Manager will support the evolution of the CLS MYA Product line within SCS and its ongoing improvement.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science/Engineering from an accredited institution.

• Major/Extensive commercial experience in Power business tendering.

• Strong business acumen, along with negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

• Prior experience in contract drafting, managing, and negotiating complex commercial and legal terms and conditions.

• Previous experience with multi-year transaction risk evaluation and mitigation.

• Familiarity with complex financial multi-year models and advanced-level formula-driven spreadsheets.

• Customer-centric mindset with a proven ability to respond swiftly to customer needs.

• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.

• Willingness to travel, approximately 30% of the time.
