This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate the skills of Commercial Lines Field Sales Representatives.
• Set clear expectations regarding activity, performance, and outcomes.
• Conduct ride-alongs, review calls, and inspect territories.
• Recruit, onboard, and nurture talent.
• Implement territory sales strategies to meet new business premium, total written premium, retention, and loss ratio goals.
• Supervise agency segmentation and allocation of resources.
• Direct agency portfolio expansion, rehabilitation, and exit strategies.
• Convert corporate distribution strategies into actionable field operations.
• Ensure consistent messaging and value propositions throughout agency interactions.
• Implement regional growth initiatives and programs.
• Own responsibility for regional sales outcomes and manage representative performance.
• Track growth, submission flow, pipeline quality, hit ratios, retention, and regional/state profitability KPIs.
• Identify performance issues and implement corrective measures.
• Provide leadership involvement in significant agency relationships and LAPP accounts.
• Build relationships with executive-level priority agents.
• Enhance agency engagement, share of wallet, and loyalty.
• Maintain budget discipline regarding expenses.
• Collaborate with underwriting, product, operations, claims, service, FAD, EIU, Specialty, and Small Commercial teams.
• Offer market intelligence regarding pricing, coverage gaps, agency sentiment, competitor activity, risks, and opportunities.
• Complete or assist with regional-level reporting.
• Perform additional duties as assigned in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
• Over 7 years of progressively responsible roles in P&C insurance, including leadership experience.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience.
• Significant insurance education, such as INS, AU, or CPCU, or a demonstrated commitment to pursuing further insurance education is highly recommended.
• Proven ability to lead and develop Commercial Lines Field Sales Representatives.
• Experience managing relationships with agencies and overseeing territory performance.
• Competence in managing growth, profitability, retention, and loss ratio objectives.
• Ability to monitor and respond to sales and profitability KPIs.
• Proficient in collaborating with underwriting, claims, product, operations, specialty, and small commercial teams.
• Capacity to provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and analysis of regional performance.
