This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Collaborate with restaurant and hospitality managers to provide comprehensive service solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and various specialty food service equipment.
• Showcase your mechanical skills, troubleshooting capabilities, and proficiency in interpreting diagrams and schematics.
• Accurately troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Commercial Kitchen Equipment, encompassing cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and other specialized food service equipment.
• Liaise with manufacturers as necessary to assist with diagnostics and parts identification.
• Consult with the Technical Assistance Group for technical support while on-site.
• Efficiently install all ordered parts for customers in a timely and professional manner, adhering to company policies.
• Promote and suggest additional services offered by Smart Care to customers when appropriate.
• Generate precise and timely administrative documentation, such as work orders, time reports, receipts, and truck stock inventory.
• Adhere to safe work practices and accident prevention protocols.
• Keep a tidy and organized service vehicle, along with maintaining accurate parts and tool inventory.
• Uphold productivity levels in alignment with company standards.
• High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 1 year of technical experience in refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or equivalent military service.
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
• Willingness and ability to participate in the emergency on-call rotation, including nights and weekends.
• Availability for occasional overnight travel as required.
• Relevant technical training, licenses, and/or certifications (e.g., EPA, CFESA) are preferred.
• Experience in repairing commercial refrigeration and/or commercial cooking equipment.
• Self-driven with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
• On-the-job training with on-demand technical support, alongside continuous formal hands-on and classroom training at our National Training Kitchen.
• Professional CFESA certifications with opportunities for advancement.
