Commercial Kitchen Equipment Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with restaurant and hospitality managers to provide comprehensive service solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and various specialty food service equipment.

• Exhibit your mechanical skills, troubleshooting abilities, and proficiency in interpreting diagrams and schematics.

• Effectively troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Commercial Kitchen Equipment, encompassing cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and other specialty food service equipment.

• Communicate with manufacturers as necessary for assistance with diagnoses and parts identification.

• Consult with the Technical Assistance Group for technical support while on-site.

• Install all parts ordered for customers promptly and professionally, adhering to company policies.

• Promote and recommend additional services offered by Smart Care to customers as appropriate.

• Generate accurate and timely administrative documents, including work orders, time reporting, receipts, and truck stock inventory.

• Adhere to safe work practices and accident prevention protocols.

• Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle, along with precise parts and tool inventory.

• Sustain productivity levels in accordance with company standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• A minimum of 1 year of technical experience in refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service.

• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record.

• Willingness and ability to participate in the emergency on-call rotation, which includes nights and weekends.

• Availability for occasional overnight travel as required.

• Preferred relevant technical training, licenses, and/or certifications (e.g., EPA, CFESA).

• Self-driven with a proven capacity to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision.
