This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

• Assist in delivering well-informed, data-driven decisions while ensuring positive customer outcomes.
• Prioritize and process underwriting referrals in accordance with service level agreements.
• Analyze proposal forms, financial statements, risk surveys, claims histories, and supporting documents to evaluate exposure.
• Review claims activity to assess its effect on renewal terms, pricing, risk appetite, and coverage suitability.
• Evaluate risks beyond standard underwriting criteria, establishing suitable terms, conditions, or pricing.
• Ensure all decisions are in accordance with underwriting guidelines, regulatory mandates, and internal policies.
• Assist sales and customer service teams in clearly articulating underwriting decisions to brokers and clients.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, operations, and customer service teams to achieve consistent and effective results.
• Provide administrative and analytical support to the wider underwriting team.
• Identify opportunities to enhance product language, underwriting criteria, and processes.
• Maintain precise and comprehensive underwriting records, including case notes and decision rationale.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, Commerce, or a related field (preferred).
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in commercial underwriting, including referral management and risk assessments.
• Experience in pet insurance is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of underwriting principles, encompassing risk assessment, pricing, policy terms, endorsements, and exclusions.
• Capability to analyze financial and risk data and pinpoint key exposures.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in document review.
• Effective time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple cases and deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of professionally articulating underwriting decisions.
• Proficient in underwriting systems and Microsoft Office, with a quick aptitude for learning new tools.
• Commercially aware, proactive, and a collaborative team player.
• Willingness to work during mid-shift hours.
