Commercial Facilities Maintenance Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the effective, efficient, and timely provision of the Company’s services to a variety of clients.

• Executes both preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, equipment, and grounds.

• Engages in direct interactions with Customers to fulfill the client’s needs.

• Completes preventive maintenance and repairs according to work order specifications.

• Conducts minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems (e.g. unclogging toilets and drains, fixing leaks in drains and faucets, replacing toilets and faucet fixtures as necessary, etc.).

• Performs routine painting, carpentry tasks, and other activities as needed to keep our Client’s facilities in like-new condition.

• Carries out minor electrical maintenance as permitted by state law without requiring a license.

• Effectively utilizes technology (tablet, smartphone) to access and finalize work orders.

• Maintains prompt and consistent communication with customers and internal support teams.

• Performs additional tasks as assigned or required.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or Degree/Certification, or equivalent professional experience in Landscaping, Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc.), or Specialty Floor Care is preferred.

• Two (2) to Five (5) years of mechanical experience, encompassing electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills; or an equivalent blend of training, education, and experience.

• Must hold relevant certifications, licenses, and a valid driver’s license in good standing.

• Ability to read and understand instructions, including but not limited to safety policies and procedural manuals.

• Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence.

• Capable of effectively presenting information in both individual and small group settings.

• Competent in using and operating handheld devices and business systems or document management database software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and MS Office (Word, Excel).
