This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Provide efficient, effective, and timely facility maintenance services to a variety of clients within a designated geographic area.
• Travel to different customer locations using a company van to maintain commercial properties.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Engage in direct customer interactions to meet client needs.
• Utilize various trade skills, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, roofing, and HVAC, to address maintenance issues.
• Execute preventive maintenance and repairs based on work orders.
• Conduct minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems.
• Perform routine painting and carpentry tasks to uphold facility standards.
• Carry out minor electrical maintenance as allowed by state regulations.
• Complete service and asset inspections.
• Utilize tablets and smartphones to access and fulfill work orders, generate service reports, submit inspection images and reports, as well as timesheets, expense reports, and purchase card logs.
• Acquire necessary materials and supplies for assigned tasks.
• Ensure customer satisfaction while communicating effectively with clients and internal support teams.
• Finish required safety and compliance training and participate in weekly safety meetings.
• Provide estimates for larger projects and necessary services.
• Carry out day-to-day repairs, emergency maintenance, and preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
• High school diploma or a Degree/Certification, or equivalent professional experience in Landscaping, Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc.), or Specialty Floor Care is preferred.
• Two (2) to Five (5) years of mechanical experience, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
• Relevant work experience in one or more of the building trades.
• Must hold applicable certifications, licenses, and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Capacity to read and understand instructions, including safety policies and procedure manuals.
• Ability to compose routine reports and correspondence.
• Capability to effectively present information in both individual and small group settings.
• Ability to complete assigned work orders promptly and communicate their status through the designated business process.
• Proficiency in using handheld devices and business systems or document management software, including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
• Compliance with relevant codes, regulations, governmental agency requirements, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA standards and Company safety policies.
• Experience in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Daily local travel between properties is required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, crawling, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to manage stressful situations and maintain composure in front of customers.
