Commercial Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive quantity takeoffs and material assessments based on construction drawings and specifications.

• Develop precise and competitive cost estimates for commercial bid proposals.

• Evaluate, analyze, and prequalify subcontractor bids to ensure comprehensive trade coverage and pricing competitiveness.

• Collaborate with subcontractors and sub-trade partners to secure complete and current pricing information.

• Assist in the entire bid preparation and submission process.

• Work alongside project managers during contract reviews and post-award project set-up.

• Oversee RFIs (Requests for Information) and submittals throughout the preconstruction phase.

• Utilize PlanHub and additional estimating platforms to streamline bidding workflows and subcontractor engagement.

• Provide support to project management teams throughout the project lifecycle as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3+ years of experience in construction estimating (flexibility based on overall background).

• Background in general contracting or multi-trade commercial bidding.

• Strong comprehension of construction pricing, cost breakdowns, and subcontractor coordination.

• Experience with national chain construction standards and pricing models for repeat projects.

• Knowledge of regional market pricing, particularly in Florida, Arizona, Las Vegas, and Colorado.

• Experience in supporting or collaborating with project management functions.

• Proficiency in PlanHub and/or PlanSwift estimating software.

• Exceptional English communication skills (both written and verbal).

• Capability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
