Commercial Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs and material evaluations from construction drawings and specifications.

• Create precise and competitive cost estimates for commercial bidding submissions.

• Assess, analyze, and prequalify subcontractor bids to ensure comprehensive trade coverage and pricing competitiveness.

• Collaborate with subcontractors and sub-trade partners to secure complete and up-to-date pricing information.

• Facilitate the entire bid preparation and submission process.

• Work alongside project managers during contract evaluations and post-award project setup.

• Oversee RFIs (Requests for Information) and submittals throughout the preconstruction phase.

• Utilize PlanHub and other estimating platforms to manage bidding workflows and outreach to subcontractors.

• Provide support to project management teams throughout the project lifecycle as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3+ years of experience in construction estimating.

• Background in general contracting or multi-trade commercial bidding.

• Strong grasp of construction pricing, cost breakdowns, and subcontractor coordination.

• Experience with national chain construction standards and pricing models for repeat projects.

• Familiarity with regional market pricing, particularly in Florida, Arizona, Las Vegas, and Colorado.

• Experience in supporting or collaborating with project management functions.

• Proficiency in PlanHub and/or PlanSwift estimating software.

• Exceptional English communication skills (both written and verbal).

• Capable of working independently in a remote and fast-paced environment.
