This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Identify and engage potential clients who could benefit from Circular Takeback Solutions.
• Ensure a robust sales pipeline by conducting market research to pinpoint key industries and target customers.
• Research and generate qualified leads using various methods, including online investigations, cold outreach, email campaigns, and networking events.
• Work collaboratively with clients to establish pricing and contractual agreements, employing strong negotiation skills to close deals.
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date pipeline of opportunities, documenting all sales activities within the CRM tool.
• Conduct comprehensive consultations with prospective clients to assess their needs for Circular Takeback Solutions and propose customized solutions.
• Acquire a thorough understanding of products and services, including their applications, to effectively convey product features, benefits, and value propositions to clients.
• Achieve or surpass required levels of prospecting activity, which includes emails, phone calls, and site visits.
• Uphold contractual obligations, billing, and service delivery for a portfolio of client accounts to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction.
• Exhibit fluency in industry and regulatory matters (e.g., DEA obligations and regulations related to transportation and waste management).
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Sales, Operations, Compliance, Finance, and other departments to align client needs with company growth objectives.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction and retention.
• Proactively identify opportunities for increased engagement and expanded services to develop tailored solutions and drive growth.
• Collaborate with key Industry Associations and network within DEA Consulting.
• Ensure consistent and appropriate communication with clients to address their needs and concerns, reinforcing trust in the partnership.
• Routinely gather market intelligence on competition and update the business strategy document in consultation with leadership.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure that event-related activities and marketing strategies align with targeted business development objectives.
• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related engineering field, or equivalent job-related experience.
• Over 5 years of progressive experience in Sales and Business Development.
• More than 5 years of experience in the sustainability and environmental compliance sector or a related business field is required.
• Preferred experience in recycling, manufacturing, safety, reverse distribution, DEA, DOT, EPA, regulated medical waste, pharmaceutical waste, universal waste, and/or logistics industries.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with over 5 years of experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to draft presentations and present to external clients.
• Understanding of Circular Solutions, Regulated Medical Waste, Pharmaceutical Waste, and DEA Regulations, with over 5 years of experience.
• Experience in drafting and comprehending contracts.
