Commercial Claims Adjuster – Auto Property Damage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver prompt, courteous, and high-quality customer service to all policyholders and claimants by addressing customer inquiries, initiating investigations, and resolving claims.

• Collect necessary information from customers to start the claim process and clarify policy details, coverage, and the appropriate course of action.

• Manage a portfolio of claims, set initial reserves for potential exposures, and adjust them as necessary throughout the claims process.

• Coordinate the repair of damaged vehicles and assist with rental reimbursement.

• Identify recovery opportunities related to subrogation, salvage, and total loss scenarios.

• Ensure adherence to specific state regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures.

• Communicate with all parties involved and negotiate suitable settlements with claimants, insured individuals, and attorneys within the authorized payment limits.

• Contribute to the ongoing development of claims guidelines, best practices, and process enhancements.

• Supervise and guide external investigative service providers and collaborate closely with clients, client counsel, and investigative services to resolve claims effectively.

• Participate in learning opportunities to enhance knowledge of personal lines claims, relevant court decisions affecting claims operations, current guidelines, and policy updates.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree (however, candidates lacking one are encouraged to apply if they meet all other qualifications).

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial transportation claims, particularly with Third-Party Property Damage/Total Loss.

• An active adjuster license is required: a resident state license if available, or a Designated Home State (DHS) license.

• Willingness to obtain all necessary licenses within 60 days, including completing any state-mandated testing.

• Familiarity with state regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures.

• Experience in the commercial sector is essential.

• Ability to analyze and assess claims data, making informed decisions based on established guidelines, policies, and procedures.

• A curious mindset, motivated by problem-solving and challenging the status quo.
