Commercial Appliance Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Key responsibilities involve responding to work orders assigned by the service manager.

• Traveling to customer locations to diagnose and resolve issues as required.

• The technician will be provided with a company van, fuel card, credit card, phone, and iPad.

• All work orders are dispatched electronically through the phone/iPad the day before.

• The technician is expected to promptly review these work orders to understand their schedule for the following day.

• The Service Technician is expected to take their vehicle home each evening.

• The company vehicle is to be used exclusively for work purposes unless previously authorized by the T&J Service Manager.

• The Service Technician will report to their manager via phone from Albany.

• The service manager is always available to support the technician with any inquiries or concerns.

• The Service Technician is required to adhere to all company policies and procedures, both internally and in external interactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A clean driving record is mandatory.

• Candidates must be willing to drive up to 2 hours (one way) for service calls.

• Strong communication and troubleshooting abilities are essential.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills are necessary.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial.

• Experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and replacing TurboChef, Merry Chef, Bunn, Mastrena, Hatco, Clover Vertica, Franke, or similar equipment is preferred.

• Familiarity with the Facility Services industry is preferred.

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• Refrigeration certification is highly encouraged but not mandatory.

• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Candidates must pass a drug test and background check prior to employment commencement.
