This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Process applications, policies, endorsements, binders, certificates, audit requests, agency billing, and various client service items.
• Assist clients with inquiries regarding policy coverage and identify any coverage gaps or additional requirements.
• Collaborate with Producers to meet client service demands.
• Renew and retain assigned accounts, overseeing the renewal processes.
• Provide clients with alternative coverage options.
• Maintain client files while offering office and administrative support.
• Cultivate carrier relationships and stay updated on industry and carrier changes.
• Build and uphold client trust through consistent communication and prompt resolution of issues.
• Document activities and adhere to quality and timeliness standards within the Agency Management System.
• Inform and educate clients regarding coverage, modifications, exclusions, and insurance necessities.
• Collaborate with the Placement Department and Producers to facilitate the transition of new business.
• Submit renewal applications along with necessary documentation, following up on quotes and policies.
• Enter policy details into carrier websites for quoting options as necessary.
• Negotiate premiums and commissions with underwriters and wholesalers.
• Present quote options to clients and Producers.
• Bind and issue policies or request policies from underwriters.
• Prioritize tasks and manage workflow for effective and accurate processing.
• Maintain up-to-date client records, workflow tasks, manuals, and required documentation.
• Address problems and enhance service in a timely manner.
• Keep informed about industry trends, products, coverages, legislation, and technology.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory; a college degree is preferred.
• At least two years of experience in a mid-sized brokerage or carrier environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of Property Casualty lines of coverage and services.
• Familiarity with Agency Management Systems, rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
• Advanced skills in Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• California Property & Casualty License is required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel independently to client locations; some air travel may be necessary.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple competing tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Competence in logically analyzing situations and drawing sound conclusions.
• Ability to work productively with or without direct supervision.
