This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Conduct both inbound and outbound collection calls throughout all phases of delinquency.
• Investigate, identify, and resolve issues that contribute to customer delinquency.
• Keep precise and comprehensive records of all customer interactions and account activities.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing complex account issues, discrepancies, and disputes.
• Review accounts to ensure adherence to internal policies, investor requirements, and relevant regulatory standards.
• Evaluate borrower financial situations to establish suitable payment arrangements or retention options.
• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in mortgage servicing and high-volume collections.
• Goal-oriented with the capacity to excel in a high-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capability to handle multiple priorities with a keen attention to detail.
• Preference for candidates with call center experience.
• Familiarity with collections procedures and best practices.
• Strong understanding of state and federal Fair Debt Collection Laws, the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, and bankruptcy procedures/regulations.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to manage conflicts and negotiate positive outcomes.
• Proficient negotiation, active listening, and communication abilities.
• Capacity to analyze and interpret moderately to highly complex issues, making informed decisions.
• Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational capabilities.
• High attention to detail with a proven ability to meet goals and deadlines.
• Capability to effectively interact and communicate with individuals at all levels within the organization.
