Collections Specialist

📋 Description

• The Life Line Collections Specialist is tasked with collection activities, reaching out to patients, discussing payment arrangements, and negotiating potential solutions.

• Efficiently place outbound phone calls in a professional manner.

• Inform consumers about delinquent accounts via telephone to encourage payment.

• Process payments over the phone for customer accounts.

• Oversee and follow up on assigned collection accounts.

• Document the information received and the outcome of the call accurately, clearly, and concisely.

• Recognize situations that warrant transferring or escalating a call to a senior advisor, supervisor, or other management personnel.

• Conduct all job responsibilities, duties, phone calls, and interactions with professionalism, respect, a positive attitude, and in accordance with company compliance policies and applicable government regulations.

• Consistently uphold and embody the company mission and values.

• Assist with special projects as assigned.

• Participate in relevant meetings or events.

• Execute other necessary tasks as directed by the supervisor.

• Strong data entry capabilities.

• Must demonstrate a level of resourcefulness and independence sufficient to effectively use resources to resolve issues and complete tasks.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.

• Experience in collections is advantageous but not required.

• ACA certification is beneficial but not mandatory.
