This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• The Collection Support Specialist is responsible for a range of administrative tasks within the Collections Department.
• This role involves becoming acquainted with various company procedures related to both first- and third-party collections, client and company requirements, as well as Federal and State collection regulations.
• Collaborates closely with Collections Management and takes direction from them.
• Prepares pay-off letters for banks and title companies; sends itemized statements to debtors; assists Third Party Account Managers with administrative duties; performs additional tasks as assigned.
• May participate in special projects as needed.
• Offers feedback regarding errors and inconsistencies.
• Will receive training on collections software and vendor systems.
• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• An associate degree or completion of post-high school courses is preferred.
• Prior administrative experience in an office environment is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, including Outlook and Excel, is essential.
• Strong typing abilities are required.
• Previous experience in customer service is advantageous.
• Must possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is crucial.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, proper grammar, and phone etiquette are necessary.
• Must be capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
• Adaptability to change in a positive manner is required.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to follow through and complete assigned tasks is essential.
