This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide a range of administrative services within the Collections Department.
• Acquire knowledge of various company processes, including aspects of first-party and third-party collections, client and company requirements, as well as Federal and State collection regulations.
• Collaborate closely with Collections Management and follow their guidance.
• Engage in Account Manager training to understand the complete account lifecycle and collections workflow.
• Gain a practical understanding of first-party and third-party collections processes, client specifications, company protocols, and relevant collection laws.
• Utilize collections software, vendor systems, internal programs, and other necessary applications with proficiency.
• Draft precise pay-off letters for banks, title companies, and other authorized entities.
• Distribute itemized statements to consumers and authorized third parties.
• Manage daily reports and high-volume work queues while handling accounts with precision and efficiency.
• Support Third Party Account Managers with administrative duties, documentation, and special projects.
• Uphold a solid understanding of account documentation standards, such as notes, codes, and workflow requirements, with minimal errors and limited need for assistance.
• Detect and report errors, irregularities, or compliance issues.
• Provide feedback regarding process errors, workflow issues, or irregularities.
• Communicate effectively and professionally in both verbal and written forms.
• Collaborate with an online training team using screen monitoring and/or video conferencing tools.
• Exhibit strong typing accuracy and overall computer proficiency.
• Apply critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues and enhance workflow efficiency.
• Safeguard the confidentiality of sensitive personal information, consumer data, and Protected Health Information.
• Maintain eligibility through an annual criminal background check.
• Stay informed about and comply with legal and regulatory standards, including FDCPA and applicable state laws.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
• High School Diploma/GED is mandatory.
• Completion of an associate degree or relevant post-high school courses is preferred.
• Prior administrative work experience in an office environment is essential.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Applications, Outlook, and Excel is required.
• Strong typing abilities are necessary.
• Previous customer service experience is advantageous.
• Must possess solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
• Must be capable of maintaining confidentiality.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and proper grammar and phone etiquette are required.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment is essential.
• Must adapt positively to changes.
