This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Manage a high volume of both outbound and inbound calls with a professional demeanor and confidence.
• Negotiate payment plans that align with the needs of the consumer as well as the objectives of the company.
• Regularly achieve and surpass performance benchmarks (quality, compliance, collections).
• Ensure precise documentation and adhere to all applicable laws and standards.
• Quickly establish trust through active listening, empathy, and effective communication.
• Capable of clear communication, both verbally and in writing, while employing correct grammar, telephone etiquette, and utilizing provided electronic tools.
• Proficient in navigating various computer applications and databases.
• Able to multitask effectively, communicating on the phone while managing multiple computer systems simultaneously.
• Skilled in overcoming objections and challenges to successfully negotiate payments.
• Dependable and responsible, consistently arriving on time and using time efficiently.
• Exhibits and practices professional judgment.
• Understands sensitive personal information (SPI) and sensitive consumer data (e.g., Protected Health Information (PHI)), maintaining confidentiality.
• Competent in using provided tools to perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Self-motivated and dedicated to achieving career success.
• Willing and able to obtain Professional Collections Specialist (PCS) certification within one year of hire date (company-sponsored).
• High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) is mandatory.
• Capability to successfully complete the company collector training program.
• Must pass initial, ongoing, and annual identity, criminal, and background checks.
