
Collaborating Psychiatrist – Supervising Physician, MD or DO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Work alongside skilled PMHNPs to care for patients with low- and medium-acuity psychiatric needs using evidence-based methods.
• Perform chart reviews and offer prompt advice on diagnoses, treatment strategies, medication management, and clinical escalations.
• Assess and authorize prescriptions, including controlled substances, when permitted by law and deemed clinically appropriate.
• Be available during designated working hours and at the conclusion of PMHNP shifts as required by state regulations.
• Guide clinicians and uphold Legion’s clinical standards, documentation requirements, and responsible prescribing practices.
• Assist in broadening access to high-quality psychiatric care nationwide.
• Possess an active, unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Hold an MD or DO degree.
• Be board-certified or board-eligible in the field of psychiatry.
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and medication management abilities.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be comfortable providing care remotely and utilizing electronic health record systems.
• Show a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate, and evidence-based care.
• Be at ease with reviewing and authorizing prescriptions, including controlled substances, in line with relevant laws and clinical guidelines.
• Have the capability to deliver responsive clinical guidance, conduct chart reviews, offer mentorship, and make prescribing decisions when legally allowed and clinically suitable.
• Create your own schedule to achieve an optimal work-life balance.
• Work from home utilizing secure telehealth and clinical systems.
• Receive substantial administrative support, including scheduling, insurance verification, billing, prior authorizations, and pharmacy coordination.
• Follow rigorous, evidence-based protocols and utilize objective diagnostic tools.
