📋 Description

• Mainly responsible for supporting the Coding Manager in the Coding Department.

• Aids in overseeing daily operational activities, which include optimizing work assignments, managing timekeeping, supervising team responsibilities, and providing technical expertise on coding content and functions within the department.

• Conducts analysis and evaluation of data pertaining to coding.

• Serves as an internal consultant by delivering crucial quality reports, offering advice, and making recommendations for improvements to management.

• Recognizes workflow challenges and proposes solutions, identifies training requirements, undertakes special projects, and resolves claim/account issues as well as technical problems.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least an Associate's Degree in a Health Information-related field or 4 years of experience in place of an Associate’s degree.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a production coder relevant to the coding team being supervised, which includes assigning ICD-10-CM codes, ICD-10-PCS codes (inpatient), and CPT/HCPCS codes.

• Strong organizational and project management capabilities.

• At least 1 year in a leadership position or a comparable role overseeing staff and/or processes.

• Professional Coding Certification.
