Coding & OASIS Reviewer – 1099 Contract Role

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Conduct coding and OASIS reviews for home health or home health and hospice services.

• Operate remotely for Healthcare Provider Solutions.

• Utilize various EMR systems to efficiently complete coding and OASIS assessments.

• Navigate and effectively work within designated EMR platforms.

• Employ Microsoft Teams and Outlook, including screen sharing capabilities.

• Work autonomously, make informed decisions, and collaborate efficiently with colleagues.

• Provide coding and OASIS services for a consulting firm focused on home care and hospice industries.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in home health or home health and hospice coding is essential; hospice-only experience is not acceptable.

• Coding certification is required (BCHH-C or HCS-D).

• OASIS certification is necessary (COS-C, COQS or HCS-O).

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in routine coding and OASIS reviews is required.

• The candidate must be a career coder engaged in coding/OASIS for at least the past year.

• Proficiency in multiple EMR systems and the capacity to learn new ones quickly while working efficiently.

• Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection and a computer that is less than 3 years old.

• Basic computer skills are required.

• Familiarity with WellSky, My Unity, Axxess, Kantime, MatrixCare, HHMD, HCHB, Synergy, and DSL is preferred.

• Ability to utilize Microsoft Teams and Outlook effectively, including screen sharing.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and following directions in English is required.

• Capability to work independently and make decisions autonomously.

• Must possess the ability to collaborate effectively with others, work under pressure, adapt, stay flexible, and maintain attention to detail.

• One of the following licenses is required: RN/PT/OT/ST.

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
