Coding Coordinator III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the prompt and precise coding necessary for reimbursement and data collection.

• Oversees the daily tasks of coding and support personnel.

• Serves as a point of contact between the facility, physicians, and ancillary departments to resolve issues with accounts.

• Formulates coding policies and procedures in alignment with CMS, AHIMA, AHA, and AMA standards.

• Ensures the accuracy of coding and abstracting by conducting both quantitative and qualitative assessments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification, or an equivalent certification/degree.

• Required college credits in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

• A minimum of three years of coding experience in a Health Information Management Department or a similar role.

• Familiarity with the implementation and maintenance of computer systems.
