Coder, Provider Practice

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Evaluate medical records and assign the correct codes (ICD-10, HCPCS, CPT).

• Ensure adherence to coding standards, regulations, and internal company protocols.

• Effectively communicate with healthcare professionals to enhance the accuracy of documentation.

• Engage in coding team meetings and act as a subject matter expert.

• Verify physician charge capture and manage coding-related appeals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree in Health Information Technology or a Certification in Coding is mandatory.

• In-depth understanding of diagnostic and procedural terminology is essential.

• Completion of coursework from an accredited institution in ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards.

• Required certifications include Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or equivalent credentials.
