Coder, Outpatient Professional Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Evaluates provider documentation and updates or assigns ICD-10-CM codes along with CPT/HCPCS codes.

• Investigates and implements necessary actions regarding any coding or claim edits.

• The coding emphasis is dependent on the available position and the employee's upcoming certification.

⛳️ Requirements

• A High School Diploma is mandatory.

• An Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information or a related Healthcare field is preferred.

• Preferred certifications include CCS, CCS-P, CCA, or CPC.

• Completion of the SIH Coding Management recognized CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10 coding education program within the last 12 months is required.

• Successful passing of a certification exam within 24 months post-hire is mandatory.
