Coder I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough reviews of medical records and assign ICD-10 and CPT codes in adherence to all relevant policies and regulations.

• Oversee patient demographics, clinical documentation, and billing data across practice management systems and hospital records.

• Provide support and education to clinical staff and providers regarding documentation and coding standards to enhance compliance, accuracy, and effective communication.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience is preferred.

• Certification from the American Health Information Management Association (CCS-P) or the American Academy of Professional Coders (CPC) is required.

• A recently acquired coding certification with up to three years of experience in provider coding and medical terminology, along with in-depth knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPC coding is necessary.

• Preferred experience in specialties such as Orthopedics, Neurology, Physical Medicine, Rehabilitation, or Pain Management.
