Coder IV Specialist – Professional Anesthesia and Gyn Oncology – Surgical

• Conducts reviews of electronic medical record documentation.

• Implements ICD and CPT coding according to Official Coding Guidelines.

• Extracts essential data elements required for billing and data analysis.

• Precisely reviews and codes patient records.

• Analyzes the content of medical records for accuracy.

• Assesses the appropriateness of diagnosis and procedure codes.

• Achieves established coding accuracy and productivity benchmarks.

• Stays updated with changes in coding practices and industry standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED - Required.

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management - Preferred.

• 4 years of Coding experience - Required.

• Experience in Anesthesia or GYN Oncology - Required.

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) - Required.

• Certified Coding Specialist - Physician (CCS-P) - Required.

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) - Required.

• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) - Preferred.

• Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) - Preferred.
