CoC Manager – Western Europe and Americas

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Regional Manager for Chain of Custody (CoC) overseeing Affiliates in Western Europe and the Americas.

• Accountable for quality assurance during audits and providing technical support to the designated affiliates.

• Aiding in the expansion of the CBE timber and paper certification business in the regions linked to the assigned affiliates.

• Continuously facilitating effective communication and collaboration with the Global Forestry Team.

• Assisting the Global Technical Manager in updating CoC procedures and related documentation.

• Overseeing the technical assessment of CoC reports.

• Conducting Technical Internal Office Audits (L2) in alignment with the global audit strategy.

• Managing quality and monitoring the performance of affiliates delivering SGS services.

• Establishing and maintaining formal initial and refresher training sessions for CoC auditors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Higher education in Forest Management or Timber Engineering, or secondary education with equivalent professional training and experience.

• Certification as an FSC CoC Lead Auditor (mandatory).

• Professional experience in the timber and/or paper sectors.

• Audit and business experience related to products, including the preparation of commercial proposals.

• Possess strong analytical, decisive, adaptable, ethical, problem-solving, persuasive, and commercially-sensitive skills.

• Customer-focused with a commercial orientation.

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English, with well-developed presentation abilities and capability to engage effectively with senior government officials and senior management of organizations.

• Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently without close supervision.

• Computer literate.
