Co-Founder, CTO – AI PropTech for Municipal Approvals

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and develop the company's foundational product and technical framework.

• Create dependable systems for high-trust operational processes.

• Guide the technical strategy for infrastructure, AI systems, and application architecture.

• Collaborate closely with design partners to influence product direction and workflow design.

• Set engineering standards focused on reliability, auditability, and explainability.

• Recruit and lead the initial engineering team.

• Work directly with the CEO on fundraising efforts and overall company strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in delivering production-grade software systems in environments where outputs had operational or business implications.

• Possesses strong technical judgment in contemporary AI systems, data pipelines, workflow software, and secure SaaS architecture.

• Understands the trade-offs between automation, reliability, and human oversight.

• Enjoys tackling ambiguous systems challenges with a high level of ownership.

• Aspires to create as a founder rather than function as an employee.

• Strongly preferred:

• Previous startup or founder experience.

• Background in PropTech, AEC, GovTech, legal tech, fintech, or other high-trust workflow sectors.

• Experience in developing systems related to document understanding, workflow orchestration, or operational intelligence.
