Co-Founder, CTO – AI PropTech for Municipal Approvals

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design and establish the company's foundational product and technical architecture.

• Create dependable systems for operational workflows that require a high level of trust.

• Guide the technical strategy encompassing infrastructure, AI systems, and application design.

• Collaborate closely with design partners to influence product strategy and workflow design.

• Set engineering standards focused on reliability, auditability, and explainability.

• Recruit and lead the initial engineering team.

• Work in partnership with the CEO on fundraising efforts and overall company strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in delivering production-level software systems in contexts where outcomes had operational or business implications.

• Strong technical acumen in modern AI technologies, data pipelines, workflow software, and secure SaaS architectures.

• Ability to comprehend the tradeoffs between automation, reliability, and human intervention.

• Passion for addressing complex systems challenges with a sense of ownership.

• Desire to contribute as a founder rather than functioning merely as an employee.

• Strongly preferred:

• Previous startup or founder experience.

• Background in PropTech, AEC, GovTech, legal tech, fintech, or other domains that require high-trust workflows.

• Experience in developing systems related to document comprehension, workflow orchestration, or operational intelligence.
