This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• You will be responsible for writing the initial lines of production code.
• You will establish the architecture, data model, engineering culture, and security posture.
• You will serve as the company's representative to CIOs, Chief AI Officers, CFOs, security teams, and investors.
• You will recruit and manage the founding engineering and applied AI team.
• During months 0–3, you will deliver the discovery layer with a design partner — creating a browser extension and endpoint agent to capture AI usage across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, and other tools without requiring per-vendor integrations. You will also set up the core architecture and a 15-minute refresh pipeline.
• In months 3–6, you will provide the Utilization × Proficiency × Value framework, which includes the first GitHub/Jira correlation for engineering ROI. You will convert three paid pilots and initiate SOC 2 Type II readiness with zero-content-retention as a mandatory design constraint.
• From months 6–9, you will launch GA v1 that encompasses discovery, analytics, proficiency benchmarking, and governance controls in line with the EU AI Act, ISO 42001, and NIST AI RMF. You will convert pilots into ten paying enterprise customers and finalize pricing, including outcome-based pricing based on captured savings.
• In months 9–18, you will deliver the governed AI access hub and broaden into a vertical specialization — likely developing an autonomous AI FinOps agent tailored for a regulated industry that cannot be credibly followed by any horizontal incumbent. You will aim to achieve $1M ARR and build out the founding team.
• You have successfully launched data-intensive, multi-tenant SaaS solutions in enterprise production, targeting buyers such as CIOs, CFOs, and CISOs.
• You are proficient across the entire stack: browser extensions and endpoint agents, high-throughput event ingestion, real-time analytics pipelines, applied LLMs, prompt-quality evaluation, and the requirements of secure multi-tenant SaaS (SOC 2, tenant isolation, audit logging, data residency).
• You possess well-formed views on telemetry design, privacy-preserving instrumentation, and the distinction between observation and surveillance, developed through hands-on production experience rather than theoretical knowledge.
• You prefer systems that maintain consistent performance across diverse enterprise environments over those that only perform well in controlled settings.
• You are ready to act as a principal — defining the technical agenda, making critical decisions in uncertain situations, and taking ownership of the results.
• Strongly preferred qualifications include prior founding or early-stage technical leadership experience.
• A background in enterprise observability, FinOps, security analytics, or governance/GRC platforms — sectors where buyers expect verifiable evidence rather than just narratives.
• Direct experience in shipping browser extensions or endpoint agents at an enterprise scale.
• Background in applied LLM evaluation: prompt-quality scoring, output benchmarking, or model-routing systems, including the considerations of cost, quality, and privacy in self-hosting foundation models.
• Founder-level equity, providing a significant ownership stake designed for long-term value creation and aligned through funding rounds.
• Founder-level authority, including co-decision rights regarding product, technology, hiring, fundraising, and strategy, as well as a board or board-observer position, depending on the cap table and stage.
• A dedicated partner within the FutureSight co-founding team.
• Pre-seed capital as FutureSight invests directly in the venture at the pre-seed stage.
