CMS & DAM Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Set up and enhance the chosen AEM or Amplience CMS platform.

• Execute content models, templates, components, and editorial settings.

• Establish authoring, approval, scheduling, and publishing workflows tailored for newsroom operations.

• Provide support for breaking news and significant event editorial functionalities, including homepage mode-switching during peak traffic.

• Implement taxonomy and structured content frameworks.

• Configure permissions and define newsroom roles.

• Set up preview and publishing functionalities.

• Develop CMS extensions when the native features do not fulfill requirements.

• Integrate the CMS with DAM, search, video, and downstream distribution services.

• Assist with testing, editorial training, and ensure production stability.

• Design and configure comprehensive digital asset management workflows.

• Define metadata structures for images and videos, including taxonomy, credits, captions, sources, and rights information.

• Design workflows for embargo, licensing, and expiration management.

• Establish workflows for image rendition, cropping, and focal-point management.

• Define strategies for handling duplicate and near-duplicate assets.

• Design tracking for asset usage and references.

• Establish workflows for replacements, restrictions, and takedowns.

• Integrate DAM with CMS, video pipelines, and distribution services.

• Support asset migration, editorial training, and governance operations.

• Take part in discovery, development, launch, and long-term support for a new digital news platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in configuring and developing on AEM or Amplience within a production setting.

• Proven experience in implementing content models, editorial workflows, and publishing pipelines for content-rich platforms.

• Strong grasp of DAM principles, including metadata, taxonomy, rights management, renditions, and asset lifecycle.

• Experience in integrating CMS and DAM systems with third-party services, such as video platforms, search, CDN, or distribution APIs.

• Ability to configure permissions and role-based access for multi-user editorial teams.

• Experience managing structured, phased delivery programs with defined milestones and launch objectives.

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with editorial, product, and engineering teams.

• Experience delivering CMS/DAM solutions for news, media, or publishing organizations.

• Familiarity with editorial workflows for breaking news and managing high-traffic events.

• Experience with video asset management and broadcast clip ingestion processes.

• Knowledge of GDPR compliance requirements pertinent to content and media platforms.

• Experience adhering to accessibility standards for content-heavy web platforms.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.

• Experience in supporting editorial training and operational transition programs.
