Cloud Solution Designer – T Cloud Public

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Client Engagement & Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with sales and account teams to connect directly with both prospective and existing clients. Conduct thorough discovery sessions to gain insights into their current IT landscape, business goals, technical challenges, and non-functional requirements (such as performance, security, compliance, availability, and cost).

• Solution Design & Architecture: Create comprehensive and optimal cloud solutions utilizing our platform and services, integrated with our European alternative to the major hyperscalers. Develop architectural blueprints, design documents, and migration strategies.

• Technical Deep Dives & Proofs-of-Concept: Facilitate technical workshops, deliver customized presentations, and work alongside Sales Engineers and Implementation teams to create and showcase proofs-of-concept (PoCs) or pilot projects that validate proposed solutions.

• Cost Optimization & TCO Analysis: Engineer solutions with a strong emphasis on cost efficiency while providing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis for proposed architectures, ensuring long-term value for clients.

• Security & Compliance: Guarantee that all designed solutions comply with best practices for cloud security, data governance, and applicable industry compliance standards (such as GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).

• Roadmapping & Implementation Guidance: Develop clear roadmaps for cloud adoption and migration. Offer architectural guidance and support to implementation teams (both internal and client-side) throughout the project lifecycle.

• Thought Leadership & Best Practices: Keep up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, industry trends, and architectural patterns. Contribute to the formulation of best practices, reference architectures, and internal knowledge sharing.

• Presales Support: Assist the sales team during the presales phase by providing technical expertise, responding to RFIs/RFPs, and establishing technical credibility with clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written - German language skills are highly appreciated.

• Over 5 years of experience in roles such as Cloud Architect, Solution Designer, or Senior Cloud Engineer, with substantial experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions.

• Extensive expertise in at least one major hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and a solid working knowledge of other platforms.

• Certifications (such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) are highly advantageous.

• Strong understanding of essential cloud services including compute, storage, networking, databases, security, and identity management.

• Familiarity with DevOps principles and tools (e.g., CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code using Terraform/Ansible) as well as cloud-native development practices.

• Experience with various migration strategies (lift-and-shift, re-platforming, re-architecting) to the cloud.

• Exceptional communication skills – capable of articulating complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences (C-level executives, developers, operations teams).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a knack for defining technical solutions from ambiguous business requirements.
