This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Engage in the daily operations, processes, and workflows of the Cloud Security team.
• Assume responsibility for projects and initiatives within the Cloud Security team.
• Recognize opportunities for enhancements to detective controls, automation, and develop solutions for preventative controls within Cloud Security environments.
• Contribute to the creation of documentation.
• Execute daily operational tasks related to Cloud Security, including reviewing alerts, assessing reported false positives in our CNAPP tooling, and collaborating with application and platform teams to address public cloud vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with technical leads to assess any new products or technology solutions.
• Frequently engage with management and colleagues in other departments to foster cooperation, exchange technical information, and present project plans and reports.
• Cultivate a trusted advisory relationship with key customers across the organization.
• Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, product managers, and product owners to maintain a comprehensive understanding of current and future requirements.
• Standardize operational and process documentation related to operations and modifications in Cloud Security tooling.
• Offer leadership by guiding, mentoring, and training team members both within and outside the workgroup.
• Work alongside technical leaders to advise management on technical issues that require interdepartmental coordination.
• Identify and implement additional detective and preventative control opportunities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Relevant certifications such as the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), AWS Certified Security Specialty (preferred), AWS Associate Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect, or similar credentials.
• 4 - 5 years of professional experience as a Cloud Security generalist, providing guidance on security domains including IAM, Vulnerability and Configuration Management, Data Encryption, among others.
• 3 - 5 years of experience working with AWS and GCP.
• Proficient in configuring and operating CNAPP tooling, including triaging alerts and defining policy sets for Public Cloud Services.
• Experience in generating and delivering compliance reports for leadership concerning control metrics.
• Familiarity with working in a distributed team environment.
• Profound understanding of and experience in cloud security concepts, including technology, best practices, design, deployment, and operations.
• In-depth knowledge of public cloud security in a hybrid cloud setting.
• Capability to develop and implement processes that ensure compliance and quality.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships within and across departments.
• Conducts interactions with integrity, ensures adherence to company policies, and addresses questionable business practices.
• Provides reliable information, creates, and presents accurate reports and presentations.
• Demonstrates strong listening skills, effective negotiation abilities, and the capacity to communicate technical and conceptual ideas to non-technical personnel. Possesses strong presentation, organizational, and prioritization skills.
