Cloud Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Implement and strengthen the defenses of cloud infrastructure.

• Ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data.

• Optimize Google Cloud Armor and next-generation firewalls to mitigate DDoS attacks.

• Manage the organization hierarchy through "Guardrails" and "Organization Policies."

• Secure critical environments such as GKE (Kubernetes).

• Integrate vulnerability scanning tools into CI/CD pipelines.

• Develop Terraform modules that include embedded security controls.

• Oversee the lifecycle of non-human identities and SSL certificates.

• Write automated compliance rules to block insecure resources.

• Configure the ingestion of critical logs into the SIEM.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of experience in cloud infrastructure security (preferably GCP).

• Tools: Terraform, Kubernetes (K8s), Docker, CI/CD (GitLab, GitHub Actions or Cloud Build), Cloudflare Access & WAF.

• In-depth knowledge of protocols (TCP/IP, TLS, DNS) and Zero Trust architectures.

• Familiarity with control frameworks such as CIS Benchmarks, NIST, or ISO 27001.

• Proficiency in Python / Go: Ability to create custom security tools.

• Bash Scripting: Expertise in hardening operating systems.

• Ability to connect tools using scripts that transform and normalize JSON data.

• Use of Git to manage infrastructure and security policies as code.
