This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create documentation necessary for Authority to Operate (ATO)
• Collect and document artifacts that support ATO
• Assist in performance scans, log analysis, and monitor and report vulnerabilities
• Investigate and assess issues and incidents
• Develop cybersecurity architecture and adapt to changing requirements
• Provide programming services for designated systems and applications
• Engage in systems analysis, design definition, software development, systems testing, implementation, and maintenance
• Evaluate coding issues and enhance procedures
• Design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, and implement software code for website components
• Foster a security-first and test-first philosophy in test-driven development
• Assist in modernizing case management capabilities for the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts across 204+ federal courts
• Over 5 years of experience in IT system engineering, systems development, coding, and programming
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
• 1–2+ years of experience utilizing tools to identify cloud-based security issues
• 1–2+ years of experience with AWS Security Hub, SAST, GitLab DevSecOps scanners, CNAPP, or similar tools
• 1–2+ years of familiarity with SIEM tools like Splunk
• 1–2+ years of previous Incident Response and Forensics experience
• Proficiency in Python, Bash Linux commands, and NodeJS is advantageous
• Awareness of contemporary security methods and vulnerabilities
• Capacity to remain informed about emerging security threats
• Experience in software and security testing, particularly for containerized applications
• Understanding of physical security threats and countermeasures
• Strong security-first mindset
• Comprehension of live cyber-environment monitoring, attacks, vulnerabilities, and log analysis
• Significant experience in modern programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, and HTML
• Expertise in designing, developing, troubleshooting, debugging, and implementing high-quality code
• Experience in cloud and containerized computing environments
• No security certification is required; certifications are listed as none
• U.S. citizenship is not required
• Must currently hold an "Other" clearance; no additional clearance can be obtained
• Scheduled for 40 hours per week
