Cloud Platform Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Foster innovation and collaboration among software development, AWS site reliability engineering, automation, testing, networking, databases, cloud operations, tools, application development, and security teams.

• Enhance the maturity of the existing Cloud Platform across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

• Oversee the continuous delivery of highly visible applications.

• Design, architect, and execute technology transformation initiatives that involve cloud platforms, artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and emerging digital solutions.

• Leverage modern tools and observability metrics to detect and resolve ongoing enterprise or cloud platform issues.

• Champion initiatives aimed at driving platform enhancements.

• Facilitate Agile sprints to advance business processes and technologies.

• Employ monitoring and alerting tools and practices, such as Datadog or Dynatrace.

• Evaluate technical and business impacts and risks, providing executive-level event status updates.

• Supervise and manage communications during high-impact events.

• Prioritize, manage, and take ownership of customer issues from initiation to resolution.

• Identify opportunities for process standardization to enhance incident response.

• Uphold standards within technical engineering teams.

• Detect inefficiencies in team processes and develop improvement strategies.

• Draft and review technical documentation, including incident reports, root cause analyses, mitigations, and standard operating procedures.

• Convey complex technical information effectively to customers and stakeholders.

• Respond to RFIs and prepare technical approach responses that align with the roadmap and strategic objectives.

• Propel strategic change and digital adoption across various business units.

• Establish standardized methods for connecting data, systems, AI, and digital dashboards, utilizing tools for data management, finance, design, equipment, and project tracking.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

• Capable of obtaining and maintaining the necessary Public Trust level clearance.

• Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience, Master's Degree with 10 years of experience, or High School diploma/equivalent with 16 years of experience.

• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in building/operating on AWS, DevSecOps, application development, networking, IT Security tools, databases, and tools in a modern software development setting.

• One relevant AWS Certification: AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Security Specialist, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.

• Proficient in using Terraform for infrastructure as code solutions.

• Strong comprehension of identity access management roles and permissions.

• Significant hands-on experience with Kubernetes-based containerized applications (AWS EKS), including Spring Boot-based container services.

• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD, including enabling environments, feature flags, and DORA Metrics aggregation.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, C, C++, Java, or Ruby.

• Ability to operate effectively at both tactical and strategic levels with a keen attention to detail.

• Strong analytical skills, sound technology experience, business judgment, and capability to address complex problems.

• Leadership presence and communication abilities to engage effectively with customers across all organizational levels.
