This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Create tools and scripts for querying, inspecting, and reporting on resources in AWS, GCP, and Kubernetes.
• Develop utilities for infrastructure inventory, configuration validation, compliance reporting, and operational health checks.
• Assist in automating cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure using Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Contribute to Configuration as Code practices utilizing Helm, Kustomize, Ansible, and declarative YAML.
• Design AI-enhanced workflows for infrastructure analysis, troubleshooting, configuration generation, and validation.
• Enforce safeguards for AI-driven infrastructure workflows, including schema validation, policy checks, dry-run capabilities, approval gates, and human review.
• Integrate infrastructure tools with cloud APIs, Kubernetes APIs, CI/CD pipelines, Git repositories, and observability platforms.
• Aid in validating Kubernetes manifests, Terraform plans, deployment configurations, and cloud resource settings.
• Generate reports and dashboards that highlight configuration drift, resource utilization, security vulnerabilities, operational challenges, and optimization possibilities.
• Develop unit and integration tests for automation and validation tools related to infrastructure.
• Document tools, workflows, configuration standards, and operational procedures thoroughly.
• Engage in code reviews, technical design discussions, and platform engineering planning activities.
• Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot infrastructure issues and pinpoint areas for automation.
• Currently pursuing a degree or equivalent training in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Basic programming or scripting experience in Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, Bash, or similar languages.
• Fundamental understanding of Linux, networking, APIs, source control, and software development methodologies.
• Familiarity with container technologies and a keen interest in Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development practices.
• Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
• Capability to learn new technologies and pose effective technical inquiries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for automation, developer platforms, and dependable infrastructure operations.
• Internship expected to conclude in May 2027.
