Cloud Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• You will take ownership of the operation and development of OpenStack-based private clouds, emphasizing reliability, upgrades, automation, and addressing real infrastructure challenges across compute, network, and storage domains.

• Manage and enhance an OpenStack private cloud (operations, upgrades, stability).

• Automate infrastructure tasks.

• Diagnose infrastructure issues across Linux, virtualization, storage, and networking.

• Enhance observability, reliability, and security standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience.

• Practical experience with OpenStack in a production environment.

• Proficient in Linux systems administration.

• Experience with virtualization technologies (KVM or similar).

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (VLANs, routing, firewalls, load balancing).

• Experience with infrastructure automation (Ansible is required, Terraform is a plus).

• Familiar with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.

• Strong knowledge of storage systems (Ceph, NFS, iSCSI or similar).

• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work autonomously.

• Proficient in English communication (both written and spoken).
