Senior Technical Curriculum Developer – Data Infrastructure, Cloud Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain hands-on Cloudera lab environments for technical courses that offer training on Cloudera Data Platform ML/AI and associated technologies.

• Manage the setup of ML/AI, Data Engineering, and Data Lake House course environments for class delivery, including classroom, live remote, and on-demand formats.

• Provide assistance with training environment access, performance, and operational challenges.

• Create and implement effective strategies for building and configuring Data and AI environments.

• Execute and support automation processes for environment provisioning.

• Collaborate with the Educational Services platform team to design and develop detailed instructions that lead to successful course development and delivery outcomes.

• Partner with a highly skilled team to create reference architectures and technical documentation for deploying and managing Cloudera Base on-premises, Cloudera Data Services on-premises, and Cloudera on Cloud.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to Cloudera Data Platform components, configurations, and use cases to support the development of exercises, including ML/AI and K8 environments.

• Generate and produce technical documentation and curriculum content to support lectures, field guides, knowledge-base articles, certification materials, and Cloudera documentation.

• Engage in the development and review of certification exam questions and technical assessment materials.

• Record and manage on-demand training sessions and technical learning resources.

• Collaborate closely with the Cloudera Educational team at all levels to ensure project and customer success, providing prompt support to educators in the field as needed.

• Enhance knowledge and skills related to Cloudera Data Platform, both on-premises and cloud technologies, while staying updated on current Data Analytics, ML/AI/GenAI, NiFi, and Big Data ecosystem technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4+ years of overall IT experience.

• At least 2+ years of hands-on experience in production settings with Cloudera Base on-premises, Cloudera Data Services on-premises, or Cloudera on Cloud, including AI.

• Practical experience in developing, testing, and deploying Cloudera products from Edge to AI in both data center and public cloud environments.

• Familiarity and experience with Kubernetes.

• MUST possess Kubernetes and/or AWS cloud certification.

• MUST have substantial experience operating AI tools such as Gemini, Claude, or OpenAI to develop labs and curriculum.

• MUST be fluent in English with confidence in communication with internal teams and customers.

• Background in systems administration or DevOps with one or more open-source operating systems.

• Experience with a major cloud provider to build and manage computing environments and maintain storage solutions.

• Proven track record in implementing operational best practices like alerting, monitoring, and metadata management.

• Strong grasp of enterprise security practices and solutions such as LDAP, TLS, and/or Kerberos.

• Proficiency with configuration management tools such as Git, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform.

• Knowledge of scripting languages including Bash shell scripting, Python, and/or Perl.

• Capability to collaborate closely with the curriculum content development team to define operational requirements for technical training courses.

• Ability to create efficient, well-architected, and user-friendly hands-on lab environments.

• Experience with data governance, data lineage, and metadata practices.

• Familiarity with third-party environment hosting solutions.

• Ability to function effectively as part of a remote, distributed team.
