Cloud Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and advancement of platform capabilities and engineering standards.

• Develop and enhance reusable deployment and infrastructure patterns for development teams.

• Facilitate end-to-end software delivery processes, from code development to production deployment.

• Work in collaboration with Security, Architecture, QA, and Operations teams on unified platform solutions.

• Promote automation and self-service features that streamline developers' daily tasks.

• Enhance platform reliability, scalability, and operational effectiveness.

• Mentor engineers and offer technical direction across various teams.

• Contribute to the platform roadmap and identify continuous improvement opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

• Strong background in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and GitOps methodologies.

• Proven experience in building and managing platform solutions utilized by multiple development teams.

• Solid understanding of CI/CD processes, automation, and cloud-native technologies.

• Experience with managed services.

• Background in designing reliable, scalable systems and supporting production environments.

• Familiarity with observability and monitoring practices.

• Understanding of security fundamentals in cloud and Kubernetes settings.

• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, or Go for debugging production services in collaboration with developers.

• Capability to work collaboratively across engineering teams and provide technical guidance.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Proficiency in English.

• Nice to have: experience in Platform Engineering or Developer Platform teams.

• Nice to have: knowledge of Azure and/or GCP.

• Nice to have: experience with SLOs, SLIs, and reliability engineering practices.

• Nice to have: experience with AI-assisted software development workflows.

• Nice to have: experience using AI tools in everyday tasks.
