Cloud Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance Azure cloud infrastructure and platform services spanning both production and non-production environments.

• Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation, monitoring, observability, and operational workflows.

• Diagnose and fix issues related to infrastructure, networking, deployment, security, and production environments.

• Spearhead initiatives concerning Infrastructure-as-Code, resilience, disaster recovery, scalability, and operational maturity.

• Collaborate with development teams to enhance deployment reliability, establish platform standards, and promote cloud best practices.

• Administer cloud networking, secure connectivity, certificates, firewalls/WAF, and associated Azure services.

• Maximize cloud performance, reliability, and operational costs within the Azure environment.

• Engage in architectural discussions, technical planning, documentation, and on-call support for critical production incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related operational roles.

• Extensive experience managing Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure in SaaS production settings.

• Practical experience with Azure services across compute, serverless, networking, storage, monitoring, API management, security, and database platforms.

• Proven experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or comparable tools.

• Solid understanding of cloud networking, security best practices, observability, incident management, backup, disaster recovery, and high availability concepts.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM, PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies is highly preferred.

• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and operational prioritization skills.

• Strong enthusiasm for cloud technologies, automation, operational excellence, and infrastructure best practices.

• Azure certifications are considered advantageous.
