This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.
• Design, implement, and oversee cloud platform services that support Kubernetes, containers, ingress, storage integration, secrets management, and service connectivity.
• Develop and maintain reusable deployment patterns for Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS), Open Source Software (OSS), and custom applications.
• Create and sustain automation for platform provisioning, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle support.
• Manage cluster lifecycle activities, including upgrades, node management, add-on management, observability integration, resilience improvements, and capacity planning.
• Provide support for Azure Kubernetes Service, OpenShift, Tanzu, or similar shared platform services.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to onboard services onto the platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to platform hosting, connectivity, and integration.
• Support monitoring, logging, alerting, and overall platform health management.
• Enhance deployment consistency through Helm-based configuration, Git-based workflows, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive platform documentation, standards, and support procedures.
• Assess and implement platform capabilities that enhance scalability and operational efficiency.
• Offer mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud platform engineering and/or product management.
• At least 3 years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• More than 3 years of experience with GitLab, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Cloud, Containerization, and Automation.
• 5 or more years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience hosting enterprise COTS/OSS applications on Kubernetes is preferred.
• Familiarity with Helm charts, operators, and container image lifecycle management is preferred.
• Experience with persistent storage integration and backup/recovery is preferred.
• Experience in defining reusable platform standards for multiple teams is preferred.
• Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Azure Administrator, and/or Azure Solutions Architect are preferred.
