Cloud Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• The Cloud Operations Engineer plays a crucial role in engaging with customers, assisting them with project and deployment activities to support the onboarding and technological endeavors of CyberSheath Managed Services clients.

• The ideal candidate will collaborate with new clients to gain insight into their architectural needs, implement CyberSheath's solutions and technologies within their environment, and identify and address any potential gaps.

• They will be part of a project team accountable for the management, support, and migration/implementation initiatives related to the IT systems of CyberSheath clients.

• The chosen candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of both on-premise and cloud-hosted environments, including Microsoft (Office 365, Azure), AWS, and Linux platforms, and will leverage this expertise to manage our clients' computing environments.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7+ years of experience in System Administration, with expertise in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Azure Administration, Server Management (Active Directory - Group Policy), and Deployment and Migrations.

• Practical experience in Linux system administration (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky and/or Ubuntu), encompassing user management, package management, shell scripting, and patching.

• Familiarity with core AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC) sufficient to deliver baseline operational support.

• Intermediate knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, SSH, VPN).

• Understanding of automation tools and scripting languages.

• Acquainted with security tools like EDR, SIEM, MFA, DLP, AIP, etc.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot complex systems and issues.

• Exceptional interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills are essential.

• Excellent organizational skills to manage and prioritize workloads effectively.

• Comfortable leading technical discussions involving both clients and CyberSheath personnel.

• Proven ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and reside within the United States or its Territories.
