Cloud Native Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Operate, automate, and continuously enhance the Swisscom Mobile Core platform.

• Design and implement contemporary platform solutions utilizing Kubernetes, GitOps, and CI/CD.

• Diagnose complex issues, apply sustainable solutions, and improve system resilience.

• Promote automation and ongoing improvements to boost efficiency and minimize operational overhead.

• Encourage collaboration between internal cross-functional teams and external vendors.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science (University, ETH, University of Applied Sciences) or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience with operating Linux-based platforms and services.

• Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes; CKA certification is a plus.

• Fundamental understanding of networking concepts, including IP, DNS, routing, and switching.

• Capability to design declarative automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible.

• Proficiency in developing custom software solutions using Python or Golang.

• Strong sense of ownership and a solution-oriented approach.

• Enjoyment of teamwork and knowledge sharing.
