Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the design, construction, security, and operation of cloud infrastructure within Azure and AWS environments.

• Facilitate healthcare applications by deploying secure network architectures, along with identity and access controls, and infrastructure automation.

• Spearhead migration initiatives from Azure to AWS, while managing VPNs, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity solutions.

• Deliver daily operational support throughout the organization.

• Guarantee cost-effective, highly available, and compliant cloud operations in partnership with engineering, security, and compliance teams.

• Oversee, manage, and enhance cloud expenses, budgets, and utilization across Azure and AWS.

• Establish and uphold security monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response processes.

• Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and vulnerability remediation tasks.

• Create and sustain infrastructure as code (IaC) for consistent and repeatable deployment processes.

• Work collaboratively with application, DevOps, security, and compliance teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with business and regulatory requirements.

• Diagnose complex infrastructure, security, and networking challenges across cloud platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required, or equivalent practical experience.

• More than 7 years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure and Security is essential.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

• Demonstrated experience in leading cloud migration projects, ideally from Azure to AWS.

• In-depth understanding of IAM, security best practices, as well as network security, VPNs, firewalls, VPC design, routing, and hybrid connectivity.

• Knowledge of cost management and optimization strategies.

• Proficient in Windows and/or Linux server administration.

• Experience with SQL Server and RDBMS databases is an advantage.

• Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.

• Familiarity with security tools such as CrowdStrike and TrendMicro.

• Strong executive-level decision-making and communication abilities.

• Excellent proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite.
